Chronicles of Irvine. The Lovely, the Twit and the Toyota Pt II

So begins the second installment of the Chronicles....

San Diego.

So Lovely Selena, The Twit The Zhang The Yao (TTTZTY) got into the humbly spotted white Toyota (TYT) and sped off ...

*Engine Revs* RPM rises up, needle's stretching towards 90

TTTZTY: " So..urm.. So Lovely Selena, you do drive pretty fast...."

So Lovely Selena: "(shy erhem and in a sweet voice)...of course I do.."

*Outside* Engine roars like an angry beast leaving a cloud of dust to settle on the bewildered male drivers whose whole life depended on the belief that girls can't drive.

First Stop: La Jolla!!!
Lol.. apparantly its really funny to pronounce it as it is...
But it sounds more like La Hoya.... or something close to that - I'm not a phonetic phoenix..

Tons of Beautiful scenery... blue skies and unfettered sunlight even during winter...
If I were at UCSD, I'd be studying here all day till tanlines become pernament...

An interesting natural structure - probably a dead tree overgrown by stuff...
But its cute - its like some Alien monster welcoming visitors...

We went down to the beach...

To watch Pelicans and waves

And took pictures of stuff like this:

Isn't it nice? I photo edited it to give it a better effect...Footprints in the Sand...

So Lovely Selena and TTTZTY got hungry...

And they ate lovely food like Cornbread crusted oysters.... MMMmmmmmmmMMmmmMmmmmm

And like true Asians,

We took more pictures....

Even silly ones....

We then stumbled into an AWESOME store. It housed antique toys of antique vehicles and locomotives!
If I had the money and space, I'd totally get the Red Baron Triplane...

Off we went again, putting along in the trusty white 4 door sedan, which is apparantly the only type of cars Asians in So.Cal know how to buy...
This is a super high flyover...with gorgeous views... it almost feels like you're flying:

That's the flyover alright...doesn't look that impressive from afar.. but hey neither do giant planes in the sky...

So Sel brought me to this famous hotel.. which is haunted...

And have an Ice Skating rink in the middle of the hot scorching sun...

Inside, it feels like some colonial palace - its naturally cool and has wonderful rich wooden panels...
Perfect setting for the ghosts!

And what's a hotel without its lovey lovely sweet treats

Off again we drove .... and passed by this lovely scene:

"Ohh sayy can You see!!!"

Well, honestly, its hard to see without my sunglasses...

But fortunately for I, we stopped by this .. whatever villagey by the water thinghy...(I'm such a bad scrapbooker)

And I got my sunglasses here! 12 bucks for a pair of uncomfortable and rather dodgy lenses... oh well... good enough for me!

At the villagey by the water thinghy, we watched some balloon artiste... he's pretty slick!

We also had some yummy umm umms...
Mine was a single Chocolate coated Oreo..... Mmmmm.....

As we wondered around the shops... we met some celebrities...

LIke Lamb Chops...

and

Some creature that reminds me of Winston Cheong....( I wish I had a photo of him.. you'd see the resemblence...)
And he is senile... no doubt about that....
He'll make a good old folk's home buddy...

HATS!!!
Doesn't she look lovely in hats??

Caps!!
Doesn't he look like a twit in caps???

So basically we spent the rest of the day visiting various shops...
Like this one:

Which basically had tons of music boxes - Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and Beast.. etc...
I found out a big weakness of mine...
There was this bin filled with musical boxes of the most popular Christmas tunes, you'd had to been a Zoolanderian not to know them...
and Selena would play each of them for me, and I would be...

TTTZTY: "Nope!! I never heard of this song in my ENtire life!!"
So Lovely Selena: " Listen to it again!"
TTTZTY: *pause*" Nope! Definitely not.. it must be some obscure tune composed by the Yetis in Ghundar..."
Selena stares at TTTZTY in disbelief..
10 second pause as the music box tinkles...
TTTZTY: " HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Thats the tune!!! That's like my most favourite Christmas song!!!!"

What can I say.... A twit's always a twit... =D

So the evening almost ended...

So lovely Selena masterfully brought the TYT into a purr and cruised the twit all the way back to Irvine...

As I sat in the apartment, resting from the trip and thinking the evening was going to wind down....

So Lovely Selena suddenly shrieked: "Oh no!!! We're late!!! Get into the car!!!"

And So again, The Lovely, the Twit and the Toyota sped off into the darkness......
racing against the clock... for goodness knows what....

To be continued.......
